Work Life Balance

Now this is a phrase that has been around for a while….but shouldn’t be underestimated or overlooked.

Until August 2016, it was always in the back of my mind and how I could achieve this?

More recently working in Project Management (Construction) I thought I didn’t have a choice/flexibility to work part-time.

So, I kept asking myself the questions how can I get more balance with what I do and my skill set…..I still need income to survive, but the biggest question is how much income do you need?

I reached a point….maybe turning 40 was the driver?  I wanted more time with family and friends etc and to explore the ability to ‘work’ in a different way.

Time came to make a change….I lined up all the ducks, and then took the leap of faith to work part-time. What I call #breakingtheblueprint, being brave and offering 20+ years experience to my network and beyond!

It has been a breath of fresh air but of course not without its challenges….I generally have more energy, I have flexible working arrangements and time now to work on my blog, sharing stories, meeting and working with creative and inspiring human beings.

I am genuinely grateful for my life and how I have created it. Think about it, it might just be what you need.

Don’t let your ego give you all the reasons not to have a balance!

Xx
